Anthos|Home is a groundbreaking startup dedicated to housing vulnerable New Yorkers. Through the SHARE program, we provide rental assistance to individuals and families who have been unable to exit shelter due to immigration status or other barriers. The program prioritizes households who have been in shelter the longest, offering up to three years of rental assistance and ongoing support to tenants and landlords to ensure housing stability.
SHARE serves as a vital resource to help individuals and families to achieve long-term housing success by providing financial assistance, coordination of services, and landlord engagement.
The Role
The SHARE Finance and Administration Director will oversee all aspects of the SHARE program, with a focus on ensuring fiscal and operational compliance. Reporting to the Director of Special Programs, this role will be responsible for directing the day-to-day administration, operations, staff and reporting of the SHARE program, as well as overseeing financial workflows, maintaining data accuracy, and conducting quality assurance reviews to meet program standards. This role will directly supervise the SHARE Supervisor as well as the Share Fiscal Specialist. This position collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the success of the SHARE program. This role requires a strong leader who can foster collaboration, provide training, and resolve complex housing challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all elements of the SHARE program to achieve outcome-driven programming.
- Recruit, manage, develop and evaluate staff for the SHARE program, including providing support, training and performance management to build the capacity of staff to accomplish these program goals as set forth under these contracts.
- Supervise payment processing for rental subsidies, security vouchers, and landlord incentives, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Review program expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations and report variances to leadership.
- Collaborate with accounting partners to ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
- Develop and implement a quality control framework for fiscal processes, ensuring compliance with government and program policies.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of financial records, including eligibility determinations, certifications, and recertifications.
- Participate in audits and ensure timely submission of required financial records to oversight agencies.
- Oversee data entry in the SHARE program database, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Oversee all reporting on program outcomes and ensure adherence to government requirements.
- Prepare routine and ad hoc program progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with SHARE associates to monitor program timelines, including eligibility determinations, move-ins, and recertifications.
- Liaise with relevant government agencies to facilitate seamless communication and address program-related issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in financial operations, compliance, or program administration, preferably in housing or social services sectors.
Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in diverse environments.
- Knowledge of NYC housing policies, voucher programs, and municipal agency operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $100,000-$115,000 annually.
- Work Environment: Hybrid, with 3-5 days in-office work per week.
