Fully Oniste in Santa Monica, CA (ONSITE then will convert to hybrid in 2025)

Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of monthly financial transactions, including processing, recording, and reconciling.
- Oversee and perform general ledger (GL) accounting tasks, such as account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze various accounting reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to GAAP accounting standards.
- Support the annual audit process by providing timely and accurate information to external auditors.
- Partner with other departments across the organization to ensure a smooth and efficient financial close process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA licensure preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within a publicly traded company.
- Proven experience with general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
- Experience within the life sciences industry a plus.
