We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Permanent SEC Financial Accountant to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-profile environment with a diverse range of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEC reporting, financial analysis, and accounting principles, and will be proficient in Hyperion, HFM, and SmartView. This position will play a crucial role in our organization, providing critical financial insights and ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and file quarterly and annual SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K), and other SEC filings as required.
2. Research and document technical accounting issues, including the preparation of memos.
3. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
4. Assist in the preparation of earnings releases, management discussion and analysis, and the statements of cash flow.
5. Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
6. Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
7. Coordinate, develop, and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.
8. Maintain and enhance the company's implementation of Hyperion, HFM, and SmartView.
9. Participate in various cross-functional projects as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting.
3. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
4. Experience with Hyperion, HFM, and SmartView is required.
5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Be able to demonstrate integrity, initiative, and a professional demeanor.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
