SEC Accountant
Our client is looking for an experienced SEC Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The ideal SEC Accountant should have a strong background in accounting, a deep understanding of SEC regulations, and a passion for contributing to the success of a growing construction company.

Responsibilities of SEC Accountant:
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) for SEC filings.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations, and apply them in financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of earnings releases, investor presentations, and other external communications materials.
- Participate in the preparation of financial reports for internal management and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations, ensuring compliance.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the quarterly and annual audit processes.
- Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed.
Qualifications of SEC Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on SEC reporting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and software, including MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Construction industry experience or knowledge is a plus.
