SAP QA Lead - Genesis Consulting Partners, LLC

The SAP QA Test Lead will oversee all quality assurance and testing efforts for the agency’s enterprise software systems, particularly focusing on SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA environments. The SAP QA Lead will ensure that software products and systems meet the highest quality standards, working closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including substantial hands-on expertise in SAP systems and at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing testing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·        Lead, plan, and manage all testing phases of the software development life cycle, with a particular focus on SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA environments.

·        Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and cases to ensure software quality meets organizational standards and project timelines.

·        Coordinate testing activities, resources, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of testing services.

·        Oversee the design, development, and execution of functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance tests.

·        Work closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that testing aligns with project goals and deliverables.

·        Mentor and guide junior testers, providing leadership and expertise to elevate the performance of the QA team.

·        Implement industry best practices for software testing, continuous improvement of processes, and quality metrics.

·        Act as primary point of contact for all test-related issues and communications.

·        Ensure all defects are properly documented, tracked, and resolved.

·        Collaborate with SAP Technical and Functional teams to identify and resolve testing challenges specific to SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA modules.

·        Monitor test results and provide regular progress updates to project management and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum Education:

 

·        Bachelor’s Degree – Required

 

Required Certifications:

 

·        No required certifications.

·        SAP, SAFe, CSM certifications desired.

 

Other:

 

·        Candidates must be US Citizens / Green Card Holders due to background check / clearance process.

·        Candidates must be able to travel to Tallahassee, FL on occasion.

• Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with strong knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance principles. • Minimum of 6+ years of software system testing experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality testing services. • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA environments, with a deep understanding of SAP architecture, functionality, and testing tools. • 3+ years of experience in a Testing Lead role, managing QA teams and leading testing efforts across multiple projects. • Proven expertise in creating and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for large, complex enterprise systems. • Experience with SAP-specific testing tools (e.g., SAP Test Workbench, HP ALM, UFT, or similar). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. • Experience working in a state agency or public sector environment is preferred. • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. • Knowledge of automation testing frameworks and tools is a plus. • Candidates should have experience working with the following Tools/Technologies: - SAP S/4HANA - SAP BW/4HANA - SAP ECC - SAP CRM - SAP BW - Enterprise Portal - GRC - ADS - Business Objects (Web Intelligence) - Fiori UX - SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) - SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
