About the Job
We are seeking a skilled SACMI Filler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating SACMI filling equipment and possess a deep understanding of PLC systems, adjustments, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure optimal production efficiency. The SACMI Filler Operator will be responsible for managing filling operations, adjusting settings to minimize waste, ensuring product quality by addressing issues such as crooked caps, holes in bottles, low/high fills, torques, PAA concentration, and temperatures. Additionally, effective communication and proactive problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. The company utilizes Redzone for Quality and Production performance monitoring and recording. Accuracy, integrity, and timelines are essential job requirements for all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor SACMI filling equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
Navigate and utilize PLC systems to adjust settings, troubleshoot issues, and optimize equipment performance.
Make real-time adjustments to minimize waste and maximize product quality.
Identify and address issues such as crooked caps, holes in bottles, and deviations in fill levels.
Adjust equipment settings to maintain specified torques and PAA concentration levels.
Monitor and regulate temperatures to ensure product integrity and safety.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to uphold equipment reliability.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance staff to coordinate production activities and address any concerns promptly.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training is a plus.
Previous experience operating SACMI filling equipment or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in navigating and utilizing PLC systems for equipment control and troubleshooting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment functionality.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset to identify and address issues promptly.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and collaborate with team members.
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining product quality and consistency.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands.
