Position Overview: As an Exterior Roofing Sales Representative, your main job is to visit homes and businesses around Chicagoland, check out any damage to roofs and siding, and give them a price for fixing it. You'll also help customers with their insurance claims and keep our records up to date. It's important to be comfortable with heights, small spaces, and tough weather, and be able to lift things up to 50 pounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive around Chicagoland to appointments generated by our office (eventually we will require you to generate your leads). Roughly 4 appointments per day, partly in the field, partly in the office.
- Inspect both residential (90%) and commercial properties (10%) and inspect damage. Create comprehensive quotes for siding and roofing projects, taking into account all relevant factors.
- Your job is to guide the customer through the insurance process providing unparalleled professionalism and making sure all paperwork is submitted correctly.
- Identify and recommend the best solutions to address clients' construction problems, focusing on providing value rather than unnecessary upselling.
- Maintain open and transparent communication channels with clients and the entire team to ensure a cohesive and successful work environment.

Qualifications:
- Experience filing insurance claims, claims handling, and a working knowledge of the insurance process.
- A working knowledge of residential roofing, (2+ years experience), and other exterior work is a plus.
- Previous experience in exterior sales, production role, or a related field (1+ years)
- Excellent ability to compose a scope of work based on a field assessment (Xactimate experience is a plus, but not required).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach to sales.
- Effective communication skills via phone calls, messaging platforms, and other digital tools (Google Workspace).
- Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and results-oriented with a drive to achieve targets.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Open for W2 and 1099
- 1099 - Based on a $750 to $850 weekly draw against commission
- The base for W2: $40,000 to $55,000 plus commission
- A competitive commission plan
- 3% of total mitigation and content sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.
- 1% of total reconstruction/repair sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.

- 5 days vacation and 3 sick days in the first 2 years.
- After 2 years, increase to 10 vacation days.
