Position Overview:
Join our team as a Retirement Services Direct Support Professional, where you'll play a vital role in providing person-centered care and support to retirees within our retirement services program. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about ensuring the well-being and comfort of our retired residents during their leisure time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision, assistance, and support to retirees with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and respond to any medical or behavioral needs following established protocols, demonstrating proficiency in crisis intervention when necessary.
- Promote a positive and empowering atmosphere, encouraging social interaction, participation in leisure activities, and providing emotional support to retirees.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and advocate for the well-being and rights of retirees.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care, incidents, and interventions, demonstrating strong attention to detail and adherence to reporting procedures.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with individuals with IDD or in a similar caregiving role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and compassionate in challenging situations, demonstrating proficiency in behavioral support and crisis intervention.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, including medication administration if applicable.
Current Shift Openings:
- M-f 7am-3pm
- Sun (8a-8p) M-Th 2:30pm-9pm
- Tues-Fri 2:30pm-9pm Sat (8a-8p)
- Various Part-time shifts
