We are partnered with a very established General Contractor in the Seattle Area who specializes in commercial projects. They have a reputation for delivering high-quality, on-time results, and they are seeking a talented and experienced Superintendent with retail project experience to join our growing team. Superintendent Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Supervision: Manage and supervise day-to-day activities on the job site for retail construction projects, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies, maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and coordinating with other team members to prevent delays.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential issues or delays on the job site and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
- Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status and resolve any concerns.
- Document Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and safety reports.
- Project Closeout: Assist in the final inspection and closeout of projects, ensuring all punch list items are addressed and that the project is completed to client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction industry, with a focus on retail projects.
- Proven experience managing construction sites, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and OSHA regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in construction management software and tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
