About the Job
As a Retail Sales Specialist in our home theater department, you'll engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences and budget while providing expert service and recommendations. You'll maintain expert-level knowledge of all products in the home theater category, including specifications, features and benefits. You'll also use effective time management strategies to optimize daily tasks and responsibilities.

- Engage with customers in the home theater department to support the customer experience, complete transactions, drive profitable growth and achieve sales goals
- Stay informed about the latest technology trends and products through continuous learning and professional development
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints and returns professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Prioritize activities based on urgency and importance, set realistic deadlines and use tools and techniques to manage time effectively
- Maintain department merchandising and readiness to serve customers
- Train other sales floor personnel on how to be successful in the department
Basic qualifications
- 1 year of experience building complex solutions in sales, customer service or related fields
Preferred qualifications
- 1 year of leadership experience in related field or military leadership equivalent (see my comment below on why this is highlighted)
- 1 year of experience selling in premium products, luxury brands and/or custom design environments
- 1 year of experience in customer relationship management (CRM)
