About the role
The Retail Operations Manager plays a key role in driving the success of the retail business by overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient processes across new and existing stores, and supporting the growth in retail expansion. This position is responsible for implementing operational strategies, support in maintaining store inventory accuracies, streamlining processes, and supporting retail growth. The Retail Operations Manager collaborates with store teams to ensure standards are met while continuously identifying areas for improvement to enhance productivity and profitability.
What you"ll do
Operational Management
- Support in managing the daily operations of multiple retail locations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement and optimize store operations processes, policies and procedures ensuring they are scalable and consistent across all locations.
- Support retail leaders in managing inventory levels through stock audits
- Manage day-to-day facility operations, including scheduling, dispatching and coordinating vendors with on-site Retail Leadership in response to retail facilities needs.
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
New Store Planning
- Support in coordinating New Store rollouts including sourcing of materials, products, and supplies coordinating to ensure stores have the necessary resources to meet project demands.
- Assist in coordinating logistics between vendors to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain detailed records of project plans, contracts, change orders, and final project deliverables.
- Work in tandem with cross-functional teams such as Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Operations teams to ensure a cohesive execution of projects across all channels.
- Support in being boots on the ground for project build outs.
Retail Team Support
- In person support across the existing fleet of stores to assess store needs and suggest improvements.
- Support operational training programs for new store teams to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service with operational excellence.
- Provide general retail operations guidance including basic retail technology and inventory support.
- Support new and existing stores with operational tools and supplies to support launches, employee gratis, and other store collateral needs.
- Reacting and planning for launches across the collective retail landscape and ensuring displays, signage, and schematics are up to date
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 - 5 years of experience in retail management or operations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to support both HQ office in Montclair, NJ as well as a boots on the ground support across all current storefronts and future retail build outs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- **This role may require traveling between store locations.
- **Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while working in-store.
- **Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
