Retail Pharmacy Technician - MedStar Health - City of Baltimore, Mayor's Office of Employment Development

MedStar Health is now looking to hire Certified Pharmacy Technicians for Vacant positions within their pharmacy departments through out their hospitals

 Salary Range $19.71 - $30.09

Duties include:

Assists pharmacist(s) in all areas of pharmacy operations, including prescription preparation, sales transactions, customer service, and purchasing and inventory maintenance

• Receive new prescriptions and refill requests from patients, either in person or by phone
• Enter patient information and prescription detail accurately into the pharmacy computer system
• Retrieve medications from inventory, counting and verifying quantities carefully
• Prepare labels with accurate patient information and medication details

Customer Service:

• Greet customers promptly and professionally
  
• Answer patients questions regarding medications and refill procedures
  
• Assist patients with insurance billing and copay calculations
