Gigglewaters Social Club & Screening Room is seeking a General Manager to join
our award-winning team. Our current GM is promoting up into a Director of Operations
position and we are looking to fill this opening with someone equally remarkable.
We are on the verge of a major expansion and this is an opportunity to get in on the ground
floor of an organization poised for explosive growth. This is a great opportunity for someone
with restaurant management experience to join a growing team and move forward in their
hospitality career with a company that genuinely believes in its people.
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the front and back of house,
to maintain all business metrics and manage the floor for an optimal customer experience.
Responsibilities:
● Supervise direct reports to attain common goals while building a positive culture
throughout the restaurant
● Ensure the highest quality standards in the kitchen, bar and throughout the
service experience
● Oversee labor, cost of goods, budgeting and expenses to ensure optimal
profitability
● Resolve escalated customer issues
● Maintain a high standard of customer service by engaging with guests,
addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
● Scheduling, Inventory, Floor Management
● Coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely
delivery of orders.
● Recruiting, hiring and training all restaurant staff
● Scheduling employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage and hit labor goals
● Maintain operations by enforcing policies and standard operating procedures,
aiming for consistent productivity and quality
● Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and
enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
● Stay up to date with industry trends, new products, and emerging beverage
techniques
● Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and promote beverage-related
events, tastings, or promotions
● Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to
establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
● Monitor and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and
timely completion of tasks
● Adhere to the company’s policies and standards, and ensure that laws and
regulations are being followed
Qualifications:
● 3+ years previous experience in restaurant management, front or back of house
● Excellent written and communication skills
● Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and
develop staff and a growth-oriented team.
● Proficiency in inventory management and cost-control techniques. ● Familiarity with local alcohol regulations and certification in responsible service
practices.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
simultaneously.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
● Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-10 hour shift
● Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
● Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly
● Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as requested
● Knowledge of Google Drive, TOAST POS, and 7shifts a plus
● Hardworking, positive attitude with the ability to lead by example by being
fearless to accomplish any task
