Restaurant Assistant General Manager - Plank Seafood Provisions - Old Market - Flagship Restaurant Group

The Assistant General Manager, working closely with and reporting to the General Manager, is responsible for managing daily operations of our restaurant while striving to create a comfortable and professional atmosphere for both guests and employees.

Compensation + Benefits:

• $60,000 - $68,000 annual salary, depending upon experience

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant or related hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of computer programs like MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with restaurant management software.
• Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
• Applicants must have open availability, including nights and weekends. The typical work week is 50-55 hours and schedule/hours may vary if the Assistant General Manager must fill in for employees or if emergencies arise.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure operational excellence by actively engaging with guests and staff, addressing concerns promptly, and overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations.
• Lead and develop a team of 25+ employees per shift, setting performance expectations, and providing feedback.
• Maintain accountability for operational standards, addressing performance gaps in guest satisfaction, productivity, profitability, and safety.
• Manage financial performance by adhering to budgetary guidelines, driving efficiencies to increase sales, and minimizing costs.
• Uphold proper administrative duties related to finances, personnel, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
