Respiratory Therapist - Laconia, NH

Join the Virtus Healthcare Staffing Team! We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our partner, a healthcare facility in Laconia, NH.

Job Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality respiratory care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough respiratory assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Administering respiratory therapies, including but not limited to:
  • Mechanical ventilation (both invasive and non-invasive)
  • Aerosol therapy
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Chest physiotherapy (postural drainage, percussion, and vibration)
• Performing pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Participating in code blue responses and providing emergency respiratory care.
• Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Must hold a current and valid State Respiratory Therapy license (RRT)
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• NRP and ACLS certification
• Experience working in an acute care setting
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule:

• Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Monday - Friday with weekend rotation as needed
