We are seeking an experienced Residential Escrow Officer to join our team at UTB Title Agency. As a Residential Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for managing residential escrow transactions, ensuring a smooth closing process, and providing exceptional customer service to clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in real estate transactions, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee residential escrow transactions from initiation to closing, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers, addressing inquiries and concerns throughout the escrow process.
- Prepare and review escrow documents, including settlement statements, title commitments, and closing disclosures.
- Collaborate with internal teams, real estate professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate all aspects of the closing process.
- Proactively identify and address issues that may arise during the escrow process, finding effective and timely solutions.
- Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Originates business by contacting prospective clients and by developing and maintaining referral sources.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience directly handling escrow and title transactions.
- Valid Escrow Officer License as required by the Texas Department of Insurance.
- Comprehensive understanding of real estate contracts, mortgage loans, title commitments, and title insurance.
- Working knowledge of title insurance policies, products, endorsements, regulatory guidelines, escrow processes, curative procedures, legal documents, and real estate property law.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on client relations, organizational proficiency, and the ability to speak effectively before groups.
- Proficient in calculating figures, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Detail-oriented and professional, capable of handling confidential information and dealing with various roles in real estate, such as sellers, buyers, agents, and brokers.
- Knowledge of Title Software programs, with a preference for experience with RamQuest, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities, consistently meeting deadlines, demonstrating follow-through, and adhering to regulatory and company procedures.
