Project Engineer/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Robert Reiser and Company, Inc.

Project Engineer/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Robert Reiser and Company, Inc., Canton, MA): Communicate with external and internal customers to fully understand and document requirements for customized food processing and packaging equipment; Generate CAD models and detailed fabrication drawings using Solidworks CAD software; Generate electronic documentation including engineering drawings, manuals and procedures; Work with purchasing and our suppliers to source and procure parts; Assembly and functional testing of designs; and Travel to customers’ facilities, as required. Must have the following skills and experience in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience designing packaging or food processing machinery in Solidworks including part, assembly, and drawing creation; Experience with finite element analysis software and able to perform mechanical design studies; Experience with Microsoft Office productions, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Able to apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to fabricated parts to meet design criteria and minimize cost; Experience designing film-based packaging equipment; and Ability to present details of work clearly to both technical and lay audiences both verbally and in writing. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and at least 2 years of occupational experience as a Design Engineer or similar occupation.
