Responsibilities:
- Manage financial reporting, controls, and compliance functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of internal and external audits.
- Oversee budgeting cycle, consolidations, payroll, treasury, credit, collections, and cash management.
- Handle tax preparation and filing.
- Lead a team of 3-4 finance/accounting staff.
- Manage banking relationships and cash flow reporting.
- Supervise, train, and develop finance/accounting staff.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing and compliance with integrity guidelines.
- Manage consolidations of financial information and various financial reporting.
- Oversee allocation and accrual of funds for financial risk reduction measures.
- Coordinate tax, benefit plans, and financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with US and international financial regulations.
- Manage financial statement preparation and wire transfers.
- Oversee due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of tax preparation documents.
- Manage quarterly finance processes and internal controls documentation.
- Oversee relationships with tax consultants and auditors.
- Regularly update knowledge of financial legislation and regulations.
- Develop and write finance and financial system procedures.
- Ensure proper use of financial reporting systems and adherence to segregation of duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar field.
- Advanced degree, CPA, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in company accounting with expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, financial compliance, tax accounting, and/or auditing.
- Experience in petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, or related industries preferred; international business experience helpful.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, FASB, Sarbanes Oxley, and similar regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial systems; proven analytical skills.
- Ability to operate under stressful situations and manage multiple deadlines.
- In-depth understanding of financial reporting and management concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and Excel.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Customer service focus and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage projects effectively.
