With Intelligence is seeking a talented journalist to help guide the expansion of coverage of US private markets asset management.
The role will involve covering some of the biggest US real estate managers at a time when the asset class is top of mind for an increasing number of investors.You will be charged will uncovering exclusive intelligence on new launches, innovations and growth strategies at a wide range of asset management companies.
You’ll need to be on top of who is winning assets and why, as well as who is faltering or shutting down. You’ll be working under a hybrid working arrangement with three days in the office and two days at home.
The successful candidate will be expected to build up and cultivate a bulging book of helpful industry contacts and supply a regular stream of exclusive news articles, alongside longer in-depth analysis pieces exploring wider industry trends.
You will also cover events and industry conferences throughout the year, providing plenty of opportunities to travel and learn the space.
Responsibilities:
- Writing daily news articles and regularly breaking off-diary stories
- Pitch and write informed and insightful analysis piecesRegularly interview heads of IR, heads of product development, CEOs and other business figures
- Build and maintain a contact book of senior industry professionals
- Represent the With Intelligence brand at a range of events, conferences and summits
Requirements
- A successful track record of reporting exclusive stories, preferably in financial journalism
- We are also willing to consider strong candidates fresh from journalism training with reporting experience.
- Must be willing to work out of our NYC offices
- Journalism degree training preferable
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- An interest in and some understanding of the asset management sector is preferable, but not essential
