We are seeking skilled Service Technicians specializing in Caterpillar (CAT) and ariel equipment to join our team. We have openings for both Field Service Technicians, who perform on-site maintenance and repairs, and Shop Service Technicians, who handle comprehensive service tasks in our facility. These roles require expertise in a range of CAT equipment models used in construction, mining, and related industries.
Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
* Field Maintenance and Repair: Perform comprehensive maintenance and repair tasks on CAT equipment and aerial equipment in our shop facility, including major overhauls, component rebuilds, and specialized repairs. Maintenance and repairs include, but is not limited to, the following equipment:
Bulldozers: D1, D2, D3
Excavators: 301, 303, 310, 320,
Loaders:906, 908, 910, 926, 938
Boom Lifts: Electric Knuckle Boom Lift, Knuckle Boom Lift, Straight Boom Lift, Towable Boom Lift
Material Lifts: Genie GH, Genie GL, Genie SLA, Genie ST,
Scissor Lifts: Electric Scissor Lift, Rough Terrain Scissor Lift, Electric Scissor Lifts
Vertical Personnel Lifts: One Man Lift Drivable, One Man Push Around Lift, One Man Lift Drivable Basket
* Component Testing and Calibration: Test and calibrate CAT equipment components such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems to ensure peak performance and reliability.
* Parts Management: Manage parts inventory in the shop, ensuring availability of necessary components for both scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks on repaired equipment to ensure adherence to manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
* Training and Development: Stay updated on CAT equipment advancements, service bulletins, and technical manuals. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
* High school education or GED equivalent required.
* Knowledge of basic tools and tool usage, including basic welding skills.
* Ability to operate in a fast paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
* Must demonstrate good problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication skills
* Proficiency with computers and aspects of Microsoft office desired.
Physical Requirements:
In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
