Type: HC Contract-Perm/ Temp-to-Perm
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Summary:
To promote the mission to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member and by providing individual and group therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, recovery principles and other interventions approved by supervisor in a trauma informed and culturally sensitive manner.
GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

Understand that failure by you to perform your duties will negatively and adversely affect service provision and your other team members
Communicate with your supervisor on an ongoing basis
Maintain an active dialogue with your supervisor
Actively participate in individual supervision/team meetings/department meetings
Provide timely feedback as to the status of the work you are doing
Provide input and raise questions
Ensure your knowledge of agency and program policies and procedures
Remain open and understand the rationale for decisions made. Follow through on decisions.
Complete task assignments within required time frame
Maintain high morale and cooperate with your team and with other departments

Maintain all credentialing standards and requirements for your position and continually enhance your own knowledge and expertise and share this effectively with your team

Ensure that quality services are continually provided:
Identify programmatic issues, develop recommendations and present them to your supervisor
Keep your supervisor informed of progress and issues
Adhere to your schedule to assure appropriate coverage at all times
Respond in a timely manner to program/departmental emergencies and unusual circumstances and inform your supervisor as soon as possible
Be conscientious and exhibit cost consciousness
Work cooperatively with other departments within CLIENT
Represent CLIENT and your program at both internal and external meetings, as requested
Submit leave requests in accordance with department procedures to assure that the needs of the department can be balanced with individual requests
Complete timekeeping per agency procedures
Attend all mandated trainings within required timeframe and request approval for staff development opportunities as relevant to promote growth and skill building
Performing all other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Provide direct treatment in individual, couples, family and group therapy
Maintain individual caseload under supervision of program manager
Ensure that delivery of clinical treatment is congruent with models and practices listed in job summary
Evaluate and assess the needs of assigned individuals
Collect all pertinent information including demographic history, history of presenting problem, family background, testing evaluations, medical evaluation, etc. as indicated for ongoing treatment.
Be familiar with the Boston University Approach to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and address in therapy as appropriate
Actively engage individuals in treatment including the provision of outreach
Complete bio-psychosocial evaluations as assigned
Plan and implement topic focused group therapy as determined by the Stakeholder Committee
Be flexible in scheduling appointments to meet the individuals' needs
Consult and collaborate with all team members including psychiatrist on a regular basis
Complete discharge documentation in a timely fashion
Take appropriate action during a medical incident with a Renaissance participant including calling 911 in the community, at site or when a participant is calling you from an alternate location
Maintain performance expectations regarding productivity
Contribute to any quality improvement/outcome measurement tracking, development and data gathering as assigned
Complete all required documentation in accordance with CLIENT Policies and Procedures
Skills:
PA State Social Worker License
Experience in working with individuals who have a mental illness and/or co-occurring issues
Master's Degree in Human Services
Good Interpersonal Skills
Basic Computer skills
Consistently display a positive attitude
Exercise sound judgment
Demonstrate effective communication skills
Maintain a professional demeanor
Demonstrate integrity
Take initiative
Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills
