Summary
As a Reliability Quality Senior Engineer specializing in car battery cells, you will be responsible for ensuring the durability, safety, and long-term reliability of our battery cell technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, testing, quality, and manufacturing, to identify and address any potential reliability issues throughout the development lifecycle. Your expertise will help improve product performance, lifespan, and safety to meet customer expectations and industry standards. 2-3 months training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Reliability Testing and Analysis: Develop and execute comprehensive reliability testing plans for car battery cells, including thermal, mechanical, and electrical stress tests, as well as cycling and storage tests.
- Failure Mode Analysis: Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure points and proactively address issues before they impact production or customer use.
- Data Analysis: Use data analytics tools to monitor battery performance metrics, analyze test data, and derive actionable insights to enhance battery cell reliability.
- Root Cause Investigation: Lead investigations into battery cell failures, utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify failure mechanisms and recommend corrective actions.
- Design for Reliability: Work closely with the corporate team to integrate reliability best practices in battery cell design, ensuring the product meets reliability goals over its intended lifecycle.
- Supplier Collaboration: Partner with domestic suppliers to ensure that materials, components, and manufacturing processes meet reliability standards and mitigate risks associated with component failures.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure that battery cells adhere to all relevant safety and reliability standards, including ISO, IEC, UN, and other automotive battery regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize battery cell performance and enhance reliability metrics, reducing warranty claims and improving customer satisfaction.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of reliability testing, analysis results, and corrective actions. Prepare reports and presentations for cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
- Bi-lingual English and Korean
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably with a focus on battery cells, automotive, or energy storage systems.
- Proven experience with reliability testing methods, root cause analysis, and FMEA.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of battery cell technology, lithium-ion or other chemistries preferred.
- Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and statistical software
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for automotive battery cells.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Project Management with multiple sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Reliability certifications (e.g., Certified Reliability Engineer - CRE) are a plus.
- Experience in Automotive: Prior experience in the automotive industry, particularly with EV battery technology, is highly desirable.
Location: Savannah /Montgomery Mobis Sites. This position will work out of the Savannah BSA2 Facility.
Position Type: Full-time - 40% travel requirement
