Job Description:
Responsible for managing the process of obtaining payment for medical services from insurance companies by reviewing patient medical records, accurately coding diagnoses and procedures, submitting insurance claims, following up on outstanding bills, and resolving any billing discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for healthcare providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Work through 100-200 claims daily
- Process Medicare pre-billing audits
- Processing Medicare appeals for all other types of denials
- Perform other reimbursement related tasks with other payers related to claims resolutions, follow-up, updating records in Empower, posting payments, and reporting trends to Manager
- Provide report and updates to Manager regarding denial trends and resolutions
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of working medical claims
- Accounts payable and receivable experience
Additional Details:
- Full time 40 hours per week. 8:30am-5pm
- On site 5 days per week
