Your Role as a Rehabilitation Technician
As a Rehabilitation Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting patients on their path to recovery. Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting physical, occupational, and speech therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans.
- Preparing treatment areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure seamless therapy sessions.
- Safely transporting and positioning patients for treatment.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress, keeping the care team informed every step of the way.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment for patients and staff.
- Handling clerical tasks like scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Providing encouragement and motivation to patients, helping them regain independence and confidence.
What You Bring to Kingston Healthcare
We’re looking for team members with a passion for making a difference. To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (an associate degree or certification in a related field is a bonus).
- Experience: Prior experience in healthcare or rehabilitation is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of rehabilitation practices and patient care.
- Physical Ability: Comfort with assisting patients during transfers and mobility exercises.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
