General Summary: Works closely with R&D staff to develop and maintain nutrition and ingredient profiles. Creates and maintains both internal and customer facing product specifications and websites. Proofs labeling content and works closely with supervisor to make decisions pertaining to claims, callouts, and third-party certifications. Supports sales staff with timely and accurate product information as needed.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Works within nutrition software database to create and maintain content.
2. Maintains product specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
3. Proofs product labels to verify correctness and regulatory compliance.
4. Responds to inquiries relating to private label items, ingredients, label claims, allergens or other technical information.
5. Assists with maintaining formulas, internal specifications or other technical documents as needed.
6. Provides customer support regarding requests from information and documentation.
7. Maintains and reviews data within private label customer websites.
Job Specifications
1. 1+ years of experience with direct responsibility for food product labeling.
2. Detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated.
3. Ability to work independently without close supervision and possess good judgment, decisiveness and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with ambiguity and problem solving.
4. Ability to track multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
5. Intermediate or better PC skills are required; advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access are desired. Experience with electronic label review software and systems.
6. Knowledge of ESHA (Genesis) software is preferred.
Working Conditions
1. Office environment.
2. Occasional travel (10%) throughout the US for work or professional training. Able to work extended hours on occasion.
3. Occasionally lift packages up to 20 pounds.
