New York Cancer Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected
Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join a
well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation.
Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day
per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation
Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will:
- Provide comprehensive and personalized nutrition care and medical nutrition therapy to a variety of oncology/hematology, diabetes and other patients.
- Educate patients, families and caregivers on all aspects of diet and lifestyle and communicate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on patient issues and nutrition health recommendations.
- Document clinical assessments, teach diabetes and other nutrition group classes, participate in company-wide and community events, develop nutrition education materials and write articles for company newsletter.
- Participate in continuous quality and performance improvement projects, initiatives and development activities.
We require:
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN or RD) from the Commission on Dietetic
- Registration (CDR).
- Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) from the New York State Education
- Department.
- Minimum 2 yrs of clinical experience required
- Preferred experience as a Diabetes Care And Education Specialist (CDCES)
- Diabetes Care And Education Specialist (CDCES) Certification, or eligible. *If
- hired, you will be expected to become certified within an agreed upon
- timeframe.
- MS in Nutrition and CSO preferred (but not required).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal and written communication
- skills.
- Proficient use of EMR (Onco, EPIC, other) and MS Tools including Outlook,
- Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
