Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Registered Architect who will play a key role in our design and project management processes. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural principles, regulations, and best practices, and will be responsible for leading and overseeing various architectural projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
Architectural Design:- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to develop creative and functional design concepts that meet client objectives and project requirements.
- Create detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and presentations to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Ensure that designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Project Management:
- Lead project teams, including junior architects and designers, to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to plans.
- Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with local, state, and national building codes, zoning regulations, and permit requirements.
- Prepare and submit permit applications and coordinate with relevant authorities to secure approvals.
- Construction Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including detailed plans, specifications, and materials schedules.
- Review and oversee the bidding process, contractor selection, and construction administration to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure construction quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Address design-related issues and provide solutions during construction phases.
- Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and understanding of client needs and expectations.
- Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback into project revisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensed as a Registered Architect (RA)
- Minimum of 3 years of architectural experience, including experience in project management.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
- LEED accreditation (preferred but not required).
Salary
80,000 - 100,000 /year
