What you'll be doing:
- Recruit, hire, train and inspire sales team to achieve targets
- Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts, updated weekly
- Establish and grow productive and professional relationships with key decision makers and influencers
- Support the negotiation and closing of agreements in support of the sales team
- Collaborate with internal customers and cross functional departments to drive positive business outcomes
- Keep abreast of competitive activity and share knowledge with internal teams as appropriate
- Conduct constructive and timely annual performance reviews for direct reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in sales
- 1-2 years’ experience in leading and motivating sales teams to maximum potential
- Fire and life safety industry experience is highly preferred
- Valid state issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must be able to travel for up to 40% of the time; often overnight or multiple days

- Possess excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Able to drive sales process from start to finish
- Able to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products
- Ability to position products against competitors
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Possess knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions

- Be a positive change agent as we implement go-to-market strategies with new and existing team members
