Client Overview:
Our Client specializes in the application of Special Drilling Technology to the Minerals, Mining, Environmental, Geothermal, Geotechnical & Geo-Construction and Water Exploration markets. Our Client designs, engineers, and manufacturers state-of-the-art Drill Rigs, Oscillators, Tooling and Support Equipment as well as provides training and support on deployment of proprietary Drilling Technology. And to be clear this process is NOT related to the Oil/Gas drilling rigs.
Position Summary:
Our Client is currently looking for customer-focused & energetic Regional Sales Managers. In this position, you will be responsible for identifying and executing sales opportunities to support the company's sales and profit goals, be responsible for managing the division's regional sales channels and overseeing the sales growth strategies in the assigned region for all products and markets. You will be the technical subject matter expert and participate in customer demonstrations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but not limited to:
- Achieve sales goals for both new product and service
- Expand Our Client’s International’s customer base, selling to new and existing key/target accounts
- Travel into territory to support achieving sales goals and customer support goals. This may include customer presentations, on-site support, cold calls, working with / developing representatives and strategic partners, and expediting business relationships
- Provide technical support to customers in the form of innovative and cost-effective design proposals
- Utilize Salesforce and other selling tools to manage accounts and to find new accounts
- Manage a territory of accounts as the primary contact for prospecting new accounts and developing existing accounts. Act as project manager for these accounts from product selection through order shipment
- Expectations are to work from home office approximately 25% of time to support planning, target marketing, customer satisfaction, and communication to customer, and be traveling in the territory a minimum of 50% of the time (estimated 100 overnight stays per year)
- Maintain an aggressive travel schedule
Education and/or Experience:
- 3+ years experience in Industrial and/or heavy equipment retail sales
- 5+ years experience in the drilling industry
- Proficient in MS Office and Google platform
- Proficiency using Salesforce
- Ability to travel within a territory and work flexible hours as well as work in various environmental conditions
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all customers and leaders at all levels
- Proven ability to effectively market products, negotiate terms and close deals
- Self-starter, proactive, strategic thinker, and resourceful
- Effective organizational, time management and priority-setting skills to complete numerous tasks under time constraints
- Valid driver’s license and must meet insurance driving requirements
- Physical ability to climb in and out of vehicles and equipment used for demonstration purposes
