About the Job
WinnCompanies is looking for a Regional Maintenance Technician to join our Loft Two Seven team, a 173-unit affordable and market community located in Lowell, MA.
This Regional role may be assigned to any property in the portfolio and is expected to work at multiple sites based on the need. Perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds and parking lots. This job requires a highly diversified base of knowledge and skills needed to maintain the property to satisfy ownership and management objectives. Strong expertise in maintenance trade. You may lead Maintenance Technicians I and II.
This opportunity offers a typical work schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, problem solve, and make repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
- Lead and train Maintenance Technician I and II employees.
- Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
- Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance to company standards.
- Complete repairs to units, building exterior, building systems, and common areas based on direction from Senior Maintenance and Property Manager.
- Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and/or carpentry.
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- Ability to travel to all necessary sites throughout assigned territory.
- Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office Suites.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training.
- CAMT certification.
- Experience with Real Page, OneSite or other property management software.
- CPO certification.
- EPA, environmental lead base paint certifications.
