Responsibilities
Revenue Management and Strategic Planning:
- Assist in preparing individual property budgets and participating in budget reviews to meet revenue projections.
- Monitor property performance to ensure achievement of house revenue goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and property teams to develop long-term strategies for total hotel revenue growth.
- Oversee forecasting processes to ensure accurate input and analysis of revenues, expenses, and labor across properties.
- Mentor and train sales and catering team leaders on effective sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and operational responsibilities.
- Develop and implement national programs, SOPs, and company-wide promotions to enhance sales efforts.
- Review and refine catering menus, ensuring alignment with revenue goals, cost management, and profitability.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage department to optimize catering and outlet revenue opportunities.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues effectively.
- Monitor and manage sales-related expenses, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide detailed trip reports for property visits, offering actionable feedback to General Managers, Directors of Sales, and senior leadership.
- Evaluate sales and catering team performance, providing constructive feedback and ensuring training programs are in place and effective.
- Review and align office structures and market segment assignments to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct final interviews for sales position candidates, ensuring top talent acquisition.
- Support the development of motivational incentives and team-building initiatives for proactive sales teams.
- Partner with the Revenue Management and Steering Teams to set and refine hotel revenue strategies.
- Foster and maintain ongoing engagement with property owners to ensure alignment, collaboration, and mutual success.
- Work closely with Front Office and Reservations to enhance total revenue through yield management.
- Review property collateral, advertising, and promotional materials to ensure effectiveness and alignment with brand standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience as a Sales Director, in hospitality.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, from entry-level to senior leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize duties, and solve complex problems.
- Strong understanding of sales systems (e.g., Delphi, GBR. Cvent, ProfitSword) with experience in utilizing and training teams on these platforms.
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining flexibility to travel approximately 60% of the time.
