Company Overview:Our client, a leader in the recycling and waste management industry, is seeking a Recycling Plant Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations and ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance standards are met. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment dedicated to sustainability and operational excellence.
Job Summary:The Recycling Plant Supervisor will be responsible for managing production staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that plant operations run efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality recycling processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Oversight: Supervise and coordinate plant operations, including sorting, baling, and processing recyclable materials.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor production staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key operational metrics to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Equipment Maintenance: Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning properly, minimizing downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor recycling output to ensure materials meet quality standards before distribution.
- Resource Allocation: Effectively manage labor and resources to meet production goals.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records, including shift reports, production data, and incident documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years in a supervisory role within a recycling, waste management, or manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Solid understanding of recycling processes, equipment, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using operations management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Education: High school diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Operations Management, or a related field is a plus.
