We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a talented individual passionate about providing the highest quality of care in a long-term care setting. This position involves overseeing and directing the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals. The RN Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of our nursing department, and will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the nursing staff to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
- Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and fill in patients’ charts.
- Adjust patient care plans as needed.
- Mentor and train new nursing staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
- Handle complaints or other issues.
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with active and unencumbered state RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or rehabilitation setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric nursing and long-term care.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional staff training and development skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stressful situations.
- Proficient in healthcare and medical software.
- Must have a compassionate and friendly demeanor.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
