Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, part of Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
Schedule: Full Time - Days - 36 hours per week
Unit Summary
This is a 35-bed monitored nursing unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging from adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service include the following but are not limited to:
+ Traumatic Complex Fractures
+ Elective Joint Replacements – Rapid Recovery Program
+ Sports Injuries
+ Spinal Deformities
+ Hip Fractures
+ Compression Fractures
+ Pelvic Fractures
+ Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities
+ Amputations and Prosthesis
+ Medical Surgical patients including those requiring Telemetry
+ Elective Plastic surgery
+ Tracheotomy Care and (Maintenance and support)-a Registered Nurse on this floor will develop top notch skills with Trach care compared to anywhere else in the hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
MAJOR - Nursing
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
