About The Position
Minimum two (2) years of experience working in ER and Med Surg. RN will need to be very skilled in Emergency Room; preferably an RN who has previously worked in a Critical Access Facility or a community hospital. No Respiratory Therapists are available so the RN should be comfortable with BiPAP to stabilize the patient until transport to a larger facility may happen. No code team available, RN must be able to start IVs. Requirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska, or Compact. BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required certifications. BLS, ACLS and PALS must be issued through American Heart Association. Shift: 12-hour Days 5:45AM-6:15PM, every weekend Fri-Sun. Schedule is posted 4 weeks at a time. Block scheduling. Dress Code: Professional scrub top and bottom must be worn at all times but may be any color. No other facility logos or names may be shown on scrubs. No crocs may be worn. Finger nails should be an appropriate length for patient care, piercings should be professional and not excessive. Tattoos and vibrant hair colors are permitted. Agency should provide badge to Traveler and must be worn at chest level. Orientation: May start any day of the week as there is not a set orientation schedule. Will start with Human Resources, including completing HealthStream modules and will finish out the day on the floor. Will be provided 1-orientation shift on days, 2-orientation shifts on nights (if working night shift) for a total of 3 orientation shifts. 13-bed Critical Access Facility with ER (3 bays) and an Acute Care unit. No OB department. The majority of patients will be seen in the ER with an average of 1-5 patient visits per shift. The number of inpatient patient days at this facility is very low. Ratio: Day - 1-RN, 1-LPN, and 1-Aide; Nights: 1-RN and 1-LPN. Clinic doctors take call and are also available via telehealth at night, if needed.
