IN PERSON PROCESS can be printed in Jackson or Grenada MS the week prior to start (48 hr turn around) REMOTE PROCESS 10-14 days needed for processing)FLU VACCINE IS REQUIRED at UMMC - only medical exemption is allowed and requires documented evidence from a health care provider of a past severe reaction to the vaccineNEW UNIT OPENING END OF NOV - ONBOARDING ORIENTATION BEGINS NOV 20RATE IS FOR THIS UNIT ONLY!!!WILL CONSIDER 36/48 and 48 HR CONTRACTS (with OT billed after 48hrs) - please request a private job linkLOCAL CONTRACTS available at $60/hrDUO's WELCOMEDMust be flexible with holiday RTO. Manager will rotate coverage to ensure that everyone gets some time off if requested. Clinicians will generally be allowed either christamas eve OR christamas day and new years eve OR new years day. Must have solid experience as an RN - 2 full years preferred with at least 6+ mos of level 1 trauma experience or experience at a Very large medical center with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes WILL CONSIDER LESS than 2 yrs - if all prior experience has been in a Level 1 facility or experience at a Very large medical center with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes EPIC CHARTING experience is required.UnitMed/Surg 6S - General MedSurg- # Beds: 32- Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients- Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS - Common diagnoses/Types of patientscurrent General MedSurg- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: heparin, could have an order for amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac drips on 3south only - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: every unit has tele capability, patients are monitored on all units, central monitor station will communicate with RN, 3south tele unit also has central monitors at nurses station and every patient is on tele - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor?: Does the charge nurse take an assignment?Both. Nurse managers are in house M-F business hours, starting at 3pm M-F and all weekend there is an adult house sup. charge takes light patient assignment, will take full load of patients if needed. educator and manager for each unit. Smaller units share manager and eduacator. - Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratiosall units - RT Equipment (i.e., Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents, etc.): cpap bipap at night, RT to help, high flow on 2n, - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 12 hours, 7a-7p or 7p- 7a, travelers are expected to fill holes but managers will try to accomodate block scheduling as scheudle allows, open to weekenders if traveler would like to work every weekend but that is not required- Weekend Requirementevery other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department - Holiday Requirement: rotate in with regular staff - Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: no - Floating Requirements?: within skillset, all staff float between all medsurg units. higher acuity patients would be given to core staff- Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?any color, needs to be solid color and professional - Unit/Department specific orientationfirst day, all paperwork and attestations, logins for Omnicel and Epic, show around unit (a few hours), discuss scheduling. 2 additional shifts with preceptor Cancellation Listed Charting Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR 2014 Certified EHR Suite BSN License to , willing to wait Trauma Level: Care Shift Notes:12 HR NIGHTS Required Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:91
