About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical (Med Surg) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotation) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years **License:** Yes, submission of license required **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS **Must-Have:** Experience with AMS, CHF, AMI, PN, COVID, DM for 2 years, able to read and interpret telemetry **Job Description:** - Complete a questionnaire and undergo a profile review process with the clinical team before presentation. - Orientation occurs on the fourth Tuesday of every month only. - Shifts available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. - Weekend work every other week is required. - Possible floating to Telemetry depends on experience. - Unit has 33 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 5-7:1 with aides available. - No requirement to titrate drips; telemetry monitoring tech is present. - Charge Nurse and House Supervisor are available. - Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow, with 24/7 in-house security. - Holiday work required every other holiday. - No on-call responsibility. - Successful candidates must have clean files, a strong statement of qualifications, and all certifications up-to-date. - Extension approvals often granted; request 3-4 weeks ahead for best response. - Royal Blue scrubs required, with one shift unit/department-specific orientation minimum, with more if needed. - No cancellation policy. - Proficient in using MEDITECH - Client/Server 5.66 charting system. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is not required.
