About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** 19:00 - 07:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years **License:** RN License **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) **Must-Have:** Teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills **Job Description:** - Work in a 28-bed unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6. - Collaborate with clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, patient care technicians, and case management staff. - Utilize equipment such as walkers, IV pumps, and sequential compression devices (SCDs). - Document patient information using the Meditech system. - Meet scheduling requirements, including 4 weekend shifts within a 28-day schedule, and participate in the holiday rotation. - Experience in medical-surgical nursing, including care for patients with various respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, and tele monitoring. - Familiarity with handling central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions. - Oncology and general surgery patient experience is preferred but not necessary. - Adhere to the dress code of navy blue scrubs. - Follow unit-specific guidelines and general hospital policies. - Engage with patient communication boards to enhance patient experiences, aiming to meet the hospital's patient experience requirements.
