About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 hour option **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required **License:** Registered Nurse License **Certifications:** BLS **Must-Have:** Experience with EPIC EMR preferred **Job Description:** - Opportunities for start dates available in December and January - First-time travelers are accepted - Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6 - Floating to units of equal or lesser acuity is required - Block scheduling is considered on a case-by-case basis - RTO (Requested Time Off) parameters are to be determined, with no RTO on holidays - Must live at least 50 miles from the facility - Former permanent staff must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler - 45 beds on the unit, providing care for a medical-surgical patient population - Telemetry monitored in a centralized unit - Free-floating charge nurse and patient care technicians assigned to each unit - Patient transporters and house discharge nurse available across all departments - Scrub color is flexible with no logos - Modules are completed onsite during orientation and involve an average of 4-6 hours for RNs - The documentation system used is EPIC
