We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse - Pharmacy Manager to join our team at South Idaho Correctional Institution located in Kuna, Idaho.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direction and supervision of the pharmacy department and performance of duties required by the pharmacy as defined by the scope of service.
- Plans, organizes and directs departmental activities. Assists in developing goals and objectives and assists in establishes and implementing policies and procedures for department operations.
- Develops policies and procedures relating to the pharmacy department and to distribution and administration of drugs throughout the facility; maintains and updates formulary. Ensures delivery of quality and safe pharmacy services to patients.
- Responsible for acquisition of quality drugs and maintaining appropriate stock.
Qualifications:
- Must hold valid state LPN license in Idaho.
- Must show current tuberculosis documentation, must be appropriately certified in first aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
- One year work experience as a LPN preferred.
- Experience in a correctional environment preferred.
