RN Clinical Educator In-service Full Time Days - Desert Regional Medical Center

Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department.  Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Tele/ PCU Educator

The Clinical Educator (Professional Development Practitioner) is an experienced professional nurse who utilizes evidence-based practice for the achievement of organizational goals related to nursing education and professional development. The Clinical Educator serves in the following roles to guide the learner to desired organizational outcomes: learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, a champion for scientific inquiry, advocate for the nursing professional development specialty, and partner for practice transitions for nursing staff. The Clinical Educator possesses in-depth scientific knowledge, technical expertise, skill, and competence. Under the guidance of the Market Education Director, the Nursing Educator collaborates with facility/market nursing leadership and staff across departments to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel as indicated or requested. The educator acts as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff at Tenet Healthcare. The Nursing Educator implements a comprehensive education program for his/her assigned units while following and contributing to Tenet educational goals and vision. Educational programs typically include, but are not limited to orientation, continuing education and in-services. Other services may include, but are not limited to process, performance and service-delivery consultation and contributions to the organization through councils, committees and workgroups.
