As a Registered Nurse (RN) the expectations would be:
- Monitor and provide daily oversight of resident care in accordance with facility and state standards.
- Administers medication and/or treatment to residents
- Communicates resident pertinent data to the appropriate responsible party.
- Supervises and coordinates CNAs and LPNs in providing direct resident care in adherence to State, and Federal guidelines.
- Receive telephone orders from physicians, transcribe orders and record in the electronic health record and prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered by the provider.
- Educate residents and their loved ones to understand condition, medications and self-care skills.
- Promote continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Ensure nursing supply and equipment maintenance needs are met.
- The ability to be a flexible, caring, supportive team member
Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:
- Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Delaware.
- CPR Certification preferred
- Experience is preferred in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.
- Ability to build rapport with residents
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
