Who are we looking for?
CAPTRUST seeks a dedicated RFP Proposal Associate II to join its internal business development and sales enablement team within the organization’s marketing function with the primary responsibility of contributing to the support, execution, and elevation of one of the marketing teams' F areas of focus: request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) deliverable request and fulfillment. These functions are part of the organic sales process associated with business development efforts for a rapidly growing and collaborative organization.
Overview of Department
CAPTRUST’s marketing strategy is a combination of the high-level activities listed below, which are intended to support the firm’s growth efforts and the needs of its institutional and wealth management clients.
- Targeted and appropriate messaging communicated through automated marketing platforms and applications, media outlets and publications, corporate websites, and presence on social media
- Successful application and delivery of the brand through print, electronic, and in-person media to create a consistent and world-class experience for all interactions
- Real-time support for business development opportunities based on market intelligence, historical data and trends, and understanding of the opportunity to ensure a successful outcome
- Drive brand awareness and pre-qualify wealth and institutional advisors and firms for potential acquisition
- Create or support events designed to establish CAPTRUST, its advisors, and subject matter experts as thought leaders within appropriate market segments
- Assist with, contribute to, and be responsible for the creation, development, completion, and fulfillment (digital and physical) of the following primary deliverables, at minimum, which are associated with the firm’s business development efforts and activity:
- Request for Information
- Request for Proposal
- Due Diligence Questionnaire
- Assist with cross-functional teams and utilize internal resources and systems as needed in the creation of business development materials
- Deliver specific peer review efforts for initial draft and final submission responses, and final submission requirements to ensure department standards, quality control, and consistent execution
- Coordinate and utilize all applicable sample and custom materials and deliverables associated with each business development opportunity
- Populate databases and business development resources with recent deliverables, materials, and information for archiving and organization purposes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successfully demonstrated 2-4 years of experience in business development or similar functioned support roles commensurate with the outlined role responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, marketing, or similar degree
- Demonstrated ability or experience with production, development, or fulfillment of prospect presentation materials
Desired Attributes and Skills:
- Knowledge and awareness of the business development and marketing activities, challenges, and requirements associated with an RIA within the financial services industry specifically for wealth management, retirement plan, and endowment foundation audiences
- Understanding and experience working within sales enablement, automation platforms and supporting technologies EX: Responsive, Seismic, Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI
- Excellent project management and organizational skills necessary with an appropriate level of attention to detail and accountability
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in addition to utilization of SharePoint, Teams, and OneNote
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Must be coachable, possess curiosity, and a desire to learn
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a sense of urgency and desire to win; Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to work on multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines
