This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.
Main Functions
- Develop standardized procedures to ensure consistent quality performance.
- Design inspection plans
- Apply statistical tools, root cause analysis, problem solving techniques and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Participate in Corrective and Preventive Action (CA/PA) program
- Identify potential quality process improvements and prepare appropriate documentation to enhance consistency and training efforts
- Perform mechanical and electrical testing per request
Typical Duties
- Prepare, document, and communicate quality procedures as required to all employees
- Analyze and report findings of customer returns (RMA) and internal rejections (NCR)
- Issue, follow-up and verify Corrective and Preventive Actions
- Manage relationships with customers, suppliers and internal factory personnel for quality related issues
- Prepare technical reports (PPAP, CPK, First Article Reports, etc.)
- Participate in the implementation of new software programs in the QA work center
Required Skills
- PC literate (Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written
- Strong initiative, high energy
- Technically oriented
- Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance and acceptable driving record
Preferred Skills
- Root Cause Analysis, SPC, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Philosophy
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician
- Experience in aerospace, medical (cGMP) or automotive industry
Education Requirements
- Associates degree in technical field or 3 years on the job experience
Experience Requirements
- 0 years minimum with degree
- 3 years without degree
- Be familiar with ISO 9001, AS9100 or ISO 13485 Standards
- 2 to 5 years in a customer service related industry
