System One is assisting a client in Hubbard, OH…a world-class company known for their metallurgical expertise, cutting-edge technology, and by supplying large aluminum ingots and billets. The Quality Technician works under the Quality Manager to ensure all specifications are met as required by the customer. This position will work in all aspects of quality in regards to receiving, melting, casting, and inspection.

Continental Shift -> 2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off. Day and Night Shifts. Does NOT rotate. 7AM-7PM

What You’ll Need:
-
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
-
1-3 years serving in a quality role or function
-
Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire, Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Must pass minimal physical test and background screening

Candidates must be able to work any shift
-
Physical effort required by the job includes standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds

What You’ll Do:

Collect, prepare and organize data samples or Metallurgist.

Perform in-line testing during casting
-
Stores chemistries Electronically and Hard Copy
-
Upload data into Syteline ERP system
-
Record instances of Non-Conformances
-
Alloy Inventory
-
Ultrasonically inspect ingots for center-line and radial cracks
-
Conduct final inspection of product as needed
-
Ability to identify problems, inform others, and assist in the solving of such problems
-
Judgment and decision-making abilities to prevent errors, scrap parts, safety hazards, or other poor results pertaining to job duties.

Ability to read and interpret work documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality instructions, and other related documents.

Ultrasonic Level 1 certification preferred
