We are looking for an RN Quality Specialist to join our Patient Blood Management (PBM) program, under the leadership of the PBM Quality RN Manager.

St. Luke’s Patient Blood Management (PBM) is an interdisciplinary, patient-centered program for optimizing patient Blood Health through care planning that incorporates pharmaceuticals, technology, and techniques to decrease blood loss and to support and enhance blood cell production. This approach reduces or eliminates the need for transfusion, applying evidence-based practices for the most effective and safe treatment.
What You Can Expect:
- Full Time/Exempt Days (Mon - Fri); No scheduled nights or weekends but will need to be available for occasional emergent calls
- This position is hybrid (onsite/remote) and will be required to travel as needed throughout the St. Luke’s Health System
- Conducts audits and quality activities related to patient blood management
- Establishes, implements, and maintains policies and procedures related to blood product utilization
- Collaborates with medical staff to optimize patient blood management strategies
- Monitors patient blood use and identifies opportunities for improvement
- Provides training and education to healthcare staff about patient blood management best practices
- Evaluates and implements new patient blood management technologies and techniques
- Promotes compliance with all regulatory standards related to blood and blood product usage
- Participates in research and data collection efforts related to patient blood management
Qualifications:
- Education: ASN
- Experience: 2 years of RN experience required; prefer inpatient hospital experience (oncology, ED, surgical or OB) and someone who is highly interested in science, data analysis, and performance improvement. Computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams; EPIC experience helpful. Possess excellent communication skills.
