Responsibilities:
- Develops and writes project specific quality control plans, procedures and audit checklists for all construction duties deemed required.
- Develop company checklists for quality control that can be used company wide
- Lead quality control audits and inspections
- Track Identify and implement corrective actions for quality control deficiencies
- Collaborate with project managers, other departments, and superintendents to ensure quality integration throughout the construction process
- Thorough understanding of contract specifications and manage accountability with Trade-Partners.
- Prepare and maintain quality control documentation including submittal adherence for materials onsite and conformance with project details
- Track and report project progress with adherence to project schedule
- Establish testing requirements and procedures in accordance with contract specifications
- Manage the inspection process and provide field reports of observations to be distributed to the project team.
- Work with superintendent and/or owner’s project manager to schedule 3rd party testing onsite
- Report on quality control performance and recommend improvements to quality control systems
- Review jobs in preconstruction to recommend details to design teams for constructability
- 5-10 years of experience in the field: project superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
- A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, etc. *There are no specific major requirements, however these are the most relevant
- Experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability
- Strong communication skills
