We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Quality Engineer (Defense Manufacturing) to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where your main focus will be to ensure the highest level of quality in our defense manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and systems to meet customer requirements and ensure the consistent production of high-quality products. This role requires a deep understanding of CDRL/MAR requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and systems to ensure compliance with CDRL/MAR requirements and other applicable regulations and standards.
2. Conduct routine inspections and audits of the manufacturing process to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure consistent production of high-quality products.
3. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
4. Analyze data from quality tests to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
5. Provide technical guidance and training to the manufacturing team on quality assurance procedures and standards.
6. Manage customer complaints and non-conformance issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
7. Participate in the design and development process to ensure the quality of new products.
8. Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with our quality standards and requirements.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve quality objectives.
10. Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role within the Defense Manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of CDRL/MAR requirements and other applicable regulations and standards.
4. Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and systems.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data from quality tests and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and training to the manufacturing team.
8. Proven experience in managing customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
9. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
10. Proven experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving quality objectives.
11. Proficiency in using quality tools and software.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
