What is the job about?Grundfos is seeking a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will monitor and improve product quality level and customer satisfaction to meet business growth. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and will operate on a fully onsite schedule out of our Brookshire, TX facility.
Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.Your main responsibilities
- Production line quality management and continuous improvement, monitor quality indicators and help drive teams to prepare and implement quality improvement actions.
- Investigate and address product non-conformances while working with relevant subject matter experts as needed.
- Coordinate deviation and non-conformance processes and ensure corrective and preventive actions address fundamental causes.
- New product/line introduction quality support while coordinating with teams to complete related control plans, critical characteristic sheets, and sample verification related work.
- Continuously improve process quality level and reduce quality cost through related tools and methods.
- Continuously improve knowledge of customer expectations, supplier relations, risk management, industry standards, business systems, planning and quality tools.
- Ensure compliance to internal and external systems.
- Mentor inspectors, technicians and documentation specialists in specification reading and use of the inspection tools and CMM.
- Comply with GCB Environmental, Health, and Safety Management system requirements.
We imagine that you have:
- Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing quality initiatives.
- Experience working within a pump manufacturing is highly desirable.
