About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements quality standards and quality assurance and control systems in compliance with applicable regulations
- Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards
- Brainstorms ideas to create solutions for identified problems
- Formulates a strategic plan to increase productivity in the business
- Documents results and findings after inspections are carried out
- Implements a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process
- Implements, trains, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality prior to delivery
- Monitors and analyzes quality performance and determines quality metrics for all procedures
- Inspects and tests equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
- Collaborates with operations to develop and implement controls, and improvements
- Communicates and makes sure that all personnel are trained on new directives, policies, or procedures
- Identifies quality defects and food safety issues and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends solutions to these issues
- Participates in all internal, regulatory, third party, supplier and customer audits and inspections, and corrective action response and prepares necessary documents
- Performs root-cause analysis investigations for customer complaints, out of specification material and quality failures
- Maintains QA Programs
- Performs QA day-to-day activities
- Inputs data electronically and provides feedback on trends for sanitation, operations, and quality reports
- Able to lead or work as a team in order to complete tasks
- Comprehensively reviews and approves all documents for accuracy
- Attends meetings, takes minutes and disseminates information through team members as well as other departments
- Performs other duties as assigned
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Comprehension of FDA regulations and directives, Good Manufacturing Practices, federal regulations, HACCP, and OSHA
- Extremely focused on personal and food safety
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Undergraduate degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering or relevant degree and 3-5 years work experience in related field
- Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment required
